I've been a part of the fitness world for almost 20 years now. I have always had a love for exercise. I was a competitive cheerleader in high school, then transitioned into a personal trainer and fitness instructor. I've always been a fit person and lead a healthy lifestyle, until the LOVE WEIGHT found me. In 2012 I started dating this really awesome guy but the pounds started to pile on. In 2014 when he proposed, I knew I had to get the weight off for the wedding. The pictures of me in the purple and green bikini are from March 2014, me at my heaviest. Summer of 2015 I had hit a fitness plateau so I went to my good friend Jackie Hoppe with Precision Personal Training and said HELP ME!! In three months time I had lost 10 pounds. Then in January 2016 I was ready to take on a new fitness challenge and decided to compete in my first NPC Figure competition. My first contest in May, I placed 1st in Novice Figure and 2nd in Open Figure Class A!! I couldn't have done it without the help, knowledge and support of my coach Jackie, as well as my team from the Precision Group Classes!!! Can't wait to step on that stage again and see

“It's been the most difficult 8 months. From bad eating habits to mentally controlling my cravings. Losing many of those times. I had just gotten my studio, working every day and stressed that I wasn't gonna get hired causing me to stop at fast food places a lot lol From knowing nothing about how to eat to somewhat getting an idea hahaha With the billions of diets there are out there, it can all be very confusing for a newbie. I started at 175lbs and lost 45lbs throughout this journey. All starting from an inspirational statement my sister told my mom, "Aww, look, you can start seeing Jorge's tummy" and I said "WHAT!?!?!?!?!" Pushing me to start this. Wanting to get to my abs. Knowing nothing about exercise I even decided to get a personal trainer. HUGE thanks to Precision. Couldn't have done it without you. I would've probably given up if I hadn't started seeing results. You helped guide me to success and every time I bit into an unhealthy McDonalds burger, nuggets, and fries, I thought of you hahaha It's been a hard journey. And I'm going to keep this up. I love feeling great about my body. I have 4 more months to complete the year so will be focusing more a bulking so that I am beach body ready! To anyone out there wanting to cut on their weight. It's tough. I know. It takes crazy commitment but every time you feel like giving up. DON'T! Keep going. It takes a while to see results but that determination will get you to your goal. There were so many times I felt like quitting and I'm so glad I didn't. This has taught me so much and it's been immensely rewarding. Not just physically but for my health. Thank you to all for the support you have shown me. Let's see what I look like in a year!”

1. What was going on in your life when you decided to start personal training with us?
I was struggling with motivation and knowing what to do in the gym. I had friends that powerlifted and wanted to get into it myself.

To know what to do in the gym. To become stronger mentally and physically.

3. What results have you experienced so far?
Josh Little is great. I have done several powerlifting competitions under his guidance. I still have 12 state records for my age and weight group. I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for Josh Little. When preparing for a competition 2025 I was at home and dropped something on my foot and broke it. After surgery and not being able to put weight on my foot for almost 3 months finally was able to return to gym.  Josh helped me strengthen my ankle back where it needed to be.

4. Beyond the physical changes, how has training impacted you mentally or emotionally? Josh gives me confidence in myself and tells me I can do anything I put my mind too.  The gym is definitely my happy place. Where I go when I am stressed out.

5. What has your trainer specifically done that made the biggest difference for you?
Josh has got me where I needed to be for powerlifting competition and after breaking my foot. He always tells me no excuses.  His coaching is top of the line. I would recommend his coaching style to anyone needing a personal trainer

6. What would you say to someone who is nervous about starting personal training?
Dont be nervous a personal trainer they are there to get you to your goals

Yes. Josh is amazing he listens to you and what you want to accomplish in the gym

Not only is Josh a great personal trainer, but he is also very strong. He is amazing to watch when he does his lifting

1. What was going on in your life when you decided to start personal training with us?

(What were you struggling with or hoping to change?)

I was struggling with some body composition issues. I had changed from an active job

(on my feet all day) to a very sedentary one (at a desk all day), and I was feeling it in my

overall fitness level. My hope was that I would replace some fat with muscle.

2. What specific goals did you have when you started?

I believe when I started, my primary goal was to lose weight. That changed over time,

and I think I may actually weigh more now than I did. But it’s a lot more muscle now than

it was then.

3. What results have you experienced so far? (Physical results, strength gains, energy,

weight loss, muscle gain, pain reduction, etc.)

Muscle Gain, improved energy, strength gain, Body Fat % reduction

4. Beyond the physical changes, how has training impacted you mentally or emotionally?

(Confidence, stress relief, discipline, mindset, mood, etc.)

I have higher confidence; I walk taller, and I like how I look in the mirror. I’ve also

developed what I believe is a more healthy view of my body. I accept some of the things

that had bothered me before, because I recognize that “healthy” isn’t limited to a single

body shape. I’m strong, I feel good, and my numbers are good. Everything else is

secondary.

5. What has your trainer specifically done that made the biggest difference for you?

(Coaching style, accountability, programming, encouragement, education, etc.)

Josh’s coaching style meshes well with how I approach things. He knows what my goals

are and what my past lifts have been, so that I don’t have to remember. Which, honestly,

is impressive, since I can’t even remember myself and he has multiple clients.

Accountability doesn’t hurt either. Knowing that Josh is going to be waiting for me at

6:30, and knowing that I don’t want to waste his time or my money, has gotten my sleepy

ass out of bed and kept me consistently attending the gym for the longest time in my life.

6. What would you say to someone who is nervous about starting personal training?

There’s nothing to be nervous about. The trainers I’ve worked with, to a one, have been

supportive and knowledgeable. They’re focused on making sure you reach your goals,

and they start with you where you are. They push, but in my experience, they don’t push

harder than you can handle.


Think of it as an investment in yourself. And you deserve it.

7. Would you recommend your trainer or our gym to others? Why?

I would, yeah. Josh has been great, and the gym has been welcoming and open. Have

there been occasions when I couldn’t get onto the machine/bench/rack I wanted? Sure,

but that’s going to happen on occasion anywhere. It’s infrequent, and more often than

not the wait is brief. And there’s a real culture of taking care of the space. I’ve never

come up to a bench/piece of equipment and found it sweaty or dirty; everybody takes

care of the shared resources.

8. Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience?

The folks at Powerhouse do a great job of maintaining the facilities and equipment.

There are new machines all the time, the paper towel machines and sanitizer spray are

always available, the restrooms and showers are clean, and everything looks and feels

well-kept and organized.

I was struggling with motivation and pushing myself to actually put in the work.

2. What specific goals did you have when you started?

I mostly started because I was the heaviest I had ever been and I wanted to lose weight and take better care of myself.

I’ve been going to powerhouse for about 5 or so years and in the total time I’ve been there I can tell a difference in my body even if the scale doesn’t move a lot. My overall physical results  are more than what I expected when I started. I’ve lost some weight and gained some muscle I’ve found motivation to push myself and to keep going even when I don’t feel like it.

It’s given me the discipline and motivation I needed. I have a trainer that pushes me even when I feel like giving up.

My trainer Josh has pushed me to better myself. He doesn’t let me give up and he keeps me accountable.

6. What would you say to someone who is nervous about starting personal training?

Just do it. If you’re struggling with motivation or you don’t know where to start exactly I say go with a personal trainer. Having someone there everyday to help you and keep you accountable will make you find that drive that you need.

7. Would you recommend your trainer or our gym to others? Why?

I would 1000% recommend powerhouse and all of the trainers there to anybody. I’ve only trained with Josh but I know all of the trainers there are really good and will help you get whatever result you’re looking for.
